Have you completed a search for a limited company with the intention of purchasing company accounts, only to find there are no accounts available? This is simply because the company has not yet filed any company accounts, therefore there are none available to purchase. The same situation can arise when attempting to purchase annual returns.

Our system allows you to see exactly what a company has filed with Companies House (and when they filed it) for no fee. To do this:
• Search for your chosen company from out homepage
• Click on the correct company on the results page
• A list of filed documents will appear under the “Company Documents” area

Because we don’t want company reports to contain outdated information we give them an expiry date. Company credit reports and director reports last for one year from the date of purchase; they are then removed from the account holder’s account. Expiry dates can be found in the “Expires” column when in the “My Company Reports” and “My Director Reports” area.

Yesterday we posted about our two different company tracker services. What we didn’t mention was that as well as being able to buy trackers individually; you can also purchase trackers as part of our subscription packages.
With our subscription packages we will provide you with a set number of credits to be used up within a set period of time. One credit equals one service, including company trackers (standard and lifetime are both available so you might as well use the lifetime!). If you wish to monitor the activity of a limited company the company tracker is ideal. When you purchase one of our company tracker services we will email you whenever your tracked limited company makes a filing change with Companies House.

Included as part of this information is the director’s date of birth. This date is sourced from either the company incorporation documents or the “AP01: Appointment of director” document. Both of which are filed with Companies House.

If you purchase company credit reports with us you may notice that the “Turnover” in the “Accounts” area is sometimes zero, even if you know that the company has been trading. This is because of a “Disclosure Threshold” whereby *small companies do not have to file turnover or detailed profit and loss accounts with Companies House.
*A company is deemed to be small if it meets two of the following conditions:
• Annual turnover no more than £6.5 million
• Balance sheet total no more than £3.26 million
• No more than 50 employees
